(1) Or Kim Peow Contractors (Private) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, has been awarded the following contracts (the "Contracts") by the Land Transport Authority ("LTA"):

Contract 1: ER194

Widening of Eunos Link and Jalan Eunos From Airport Road to Sims Avenue

Total Contract Sum: $28,508,250
Contract Period: 28 April 2008 to 27 October 2010

(2) Eng Lam Contractors Co (Pte) Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, has been awarded the following contract by the LTA.

Contract 2: RP125

Ad Hoc Repairs and Upgrading of Roads and Road Related Facilities in Central Sector For A Period of Two Years

Total Contract Sum: $12,700,000
Contract Period: 23 April 2008 to 22 April 2010

Total Contract Value for 2 projects = $41,208,250

The Contracts are expected to contribute positively to, but have no material impact on, the earnings per share or net tangible assets per share of the Company and its subsidiary companies for the current financial year ending 31 December 2008.

None of the Directors has any interest, direct or indirect, in the Contracts. As far as the Directors are aware, none of the controlling shareholders of the Company has any interest, direct or indirect, in the Contracts.
