The Board of Directors, having considered the Nominating Committee's recommendation and having reviewed and considered the academic and professional qualifications, expertise, work experience and suitability of Dr Ting, believes that Dr Ting's experience would be beneficial to the Group and has approved Dr Ting's appointment as Independent Director of the Company. Following his appointment, Dr Ting will also be appointed as the Chairman of the Nominating Committee and a member of the Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee. The Board of Directors considers Dr Ting to be independent for the purpose of Rule 704(8) of the SGX-ST Listing Manual.
